Hornell Sculptures

Public Art

Location:

Hornell, NY

Year:

2025

Description:

"Atlas Shrugged," was placed in Union Square Park, while the second piece, "The Tracks of Hornell," found its home on Main Street. "The Tracks of Hornell" was created in collaboration with Hornell High School art students from Mr. Jamie Kull’s class. Castner explained that the students imagined the piece as telling the story of Hornell, with history bursting from the pages of a book. The sculpture features a historical timeline, references to the City’s rail history with tracks and a train, and maple leaves crafted by the students themselves.
